A.5 Signals in the Application Environment

Signals, including the keyboard interrupt, are interrupts generated by the operating system. A signal received during the execution of an application program causes Lisp either to suspend execution or to enter the Debugger. If the Debugger is entered from the Application Environment or from an image that was saved in the Application Environment, the user should try to continue the program with the:c option of the Debugger or stop execution of the program by calling the functionquit.
