LispWorks is protected against unauthorized copying and use by a simple key protection mechanism. LispWorks will not start up until it finds a file containing a valid key.
The image looks for a file
lwlicense
in the following places, in order:
lib/6-1-0-0/config
subdirectory of the LispWorks installation directory
When the file
lwlicense
is found, it must contain a valid key for the current machine. If you try to run LispWorks without a valid key, a message will be printed reporting that no valid key was found.
